Guido lived many years ago in the mountains of Southern Europe. As a small boy he wandered around the kitchen of his parents home. He would hang around the open hearth making imaginery sauces, much to the despair of his mother who thought he was better suited to tending sheep.On market days, while his parents were off selling their wares and he should have been tending the flock, he could be found picking wild herbs which he dried and kept hidden to use in his sauces. Many years passed and Guido went to work in the big sauce factory in the sky.One day a young girl found a book in an old box in her parents attic.

It was filled with notes in a strange language. What was it all about? Where did it come from? Someone was found who could translate the strange notes the book contained. Once the job was completed there were hundreds of recipes. Someone meanwhile remembered that uncle Guido had been a famous chef who had closely guarded his secrets. In October 1997 the legend of Guido was renewed when Guido's Famous Sauces started manufacturing uncle Guido's sauces using a blend of European and African ingredients.
